BISI - Badminton Into School Initiative

With rackets especially tailored to the requirements of children and officially made for the „Badminton-into-Schools Initiative (BISI)” Talbot-Torro makes badminton attractive to children at an early stage. The concept was developed in close cooperation with the British Badminton Association to assist this sport in all the schools of the country. After the great success in GB the German Badminton Association has also recommended the BISI products since more than 10 years in Germany.

Timing as well as eye-arm coordination of children are not yet mature. They see the shuttle but arms react slightly delayed. Thus the shuttle is not hit with the sweet spot which is the ideal area for hits, but with an area somewhat above. That is why the head of the BISI racket is drop shaped thereby shifting the sweet spot to the upper area of the racket head. Consequently kids hit the shuttle with the sweet spot as of a traditional racket as the shaft of a BISI racket is shorter than the shaft of a traditional racket. The easy changeover from the „BISI Mini“ (ca. 6-8 years)  to the „Bisi Junior“ (ca. 9-11 years) to the „BISI Classic“ racket enables children to learn to play badminton age adjusted.
